Otto Hoxxeim Kölsch-StyleIngredients
MethodAdd can to 2 gallons water and boil for 15 minutes. Add Irish Moss and boil 15 mintues more. Sparge into a 23 litre carboy which contains 2 gallons of water, then fill the rest of the way up. Agitate well. Allow to cool below 74F and pitch. Databrewed: 19.03.95 PitchingNothing special about the pitch except that the yeast that came with the kit was rehydraded. Taste TestsThis is an all-round excellent beer, satisfying everyone who's tasted it. We've passed it around quite a bit, and it was enthusiastically drunk both by people who don't like domestic beers, as well as those who normally wouldn't drink anything but. The beer has a nice darker amber colour, and a light, hoppy flavour. Definitely worth making again.
