Otto Hoxxeim Kölsch

Ingredients

  • 1 3kg can Otto Hoxxeim Kölsh
  • 0.5 kg corn sugar

     

Method

Add Extract and sugar to 2 gallons water and boil for 5 minutes. Empty into a 23 litre carboy which contains 2 gallons of water, then fill the rest of the way up. Agitate well. Allow to cool below 74F and pitch with rehydrated yeast.

Pitching

Nothing special about the pitch except that the yeast that came with the kit was rehydraded.

 

 

Taste Tests

The beer has a nice darker amber colour, and a light, hoppy flavour.

Definitely worth making again.
