    Is my beer ruined??
     2009.11.16 @ 01:06
    Excuse the clichè subject question!
I brewed my beer fine, but when transferring from primary fermentation to secondary I had to shift the fermenter and I winded up shaking it a bit more than I should have. I left everything to settle for about 15 minutes whilst sterilising the secondary fermenter.
I then noticed (whilst finishing the operation of shifting beer from primary fermenter to secondary) that there were particles in the beer (I presume yeast which normally deposits on the sides and top of fermenter) which were undoubtedly dislodged when I stupidly shifted the fermenter.
The beer, together with particles, albeit not too many, is sitting now in secondary fermenter.
Will it still be okay or have I ruined it?

You're all set from the sound of things. The worst that could've happened is that you'll get a bit more sediment transferred to the secondary and then possibly to the bottle (or keg).

You could rack it off one more time before bottling or kegging. Either that or just knnow your going to have some extra mud on the bottom. Mind you I have a whopping 3 batches of beer done so far.

Don't worry about it. The particles will settle in the secondary. At bottling time, put your sugar in a bucket then rack the beer into the bucket. It will mix the sugar in and leave the remaining sediment behind.
